Rolling Stones Approve Fatboy Slim Sample After 25 Years

One of the most bootlegged recordings, Fatboy Slim’s “Satisfaction Skank,” will finally be released after the Rolling Stones granted approval for its pivotal sample. Created by Norman Cook 25 years ago, the track combined the Stones’ riff from “Satisfaction” with his hit “The Rockafeller Skank,” which he used as a secret encore weapon. Despite its popularity on file-sharing sites in the 2000s, it remained unreleased until now due to the Stones’ refusal to clear it.
