Wicked Sequel Receives Mixed Reviews from Critics

Wicked: For Good, the sequel to the original film, has garnered broadly positive reviews, though critics are less enamored than with its predecessor. Released on Friday, it features Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande reprising their roles as Elphaba and Glinda, respectively. While Empire’s John Nugent rated it three stars, noting it is “not quite Wicked: For Great,” Total Film’s Molly Edwards called it an “absolute triumph,” despite mentioning its weaker source material and new songs.
