Israel and Lebanon close to ceasefire deal, Israeli officials say

Israel and Lebanon are close to a ceasefire deal, with the Israeli cabinet set to meet to discuss a proposed 60-day truce to end fighting with Hezbollah. The deal includes the withdrawal of Israeli forces from southern Lebanon, an end to Hezbollah presence, and an increased Lebanese army presence in the ceasefire zone. The ceasefire deal aims to enforce the terms of UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which ended the 2006 war and address concerns over violations and displacement in both countries.
