Major London festivals 'in limbo' after legal ruling

The Night Time Industries Association (NTIA) has warned that cancelling several music festivals, including the Mighty Hoopla, Cross The Tracks, and Wide Awake, scheduled at Brockwell Park in south London from May 23 to June 8, would be a “devastating blow” for tens of thousands of attendees. This concern follows a High Court ruling won by resident Rebekah Shaman, who claimed the council lacked the necessary planning permission for the events. A spokesperson for Lambeth Council stated they are evaluating the judgment’s impact and determining subsequent actions.
