BYU Loses to Texas Tech in Key Matchup

The No. 7 BYU Cougars suffered a disappointing 29-7 loss to No. 8 Texas Tech at Jones AT&T Stadium on November 8, 2025. Despite a commendable defensive effort, BYU’s offense and special teams faltered significantly, failing to perform on a national stage. Head coach Kalani Sitake acknowledged Texas Tech’s strong performance, while safety Raider Damuni emphasized that the team remains in control of their destiny. The defeat raises questions about BYU’s position in the College Football Playoff rankings after their impressive eight-game winning streak.
