Austin Butler will portray Lance Armstrong in an upcoming biopic directed by Edward Berger, known for “All Quiet on the Western Front.” The film, produced by Scott Stuber, has sparked a bidding war among studios, with Armstrong involved but not serving as a producer. Armstrong’s life rights have been secured, and after extensive discussions, he agreed to the project, which aims to present an unfiltered account of his life. Previously, Ben Foster played Armstrong in the 2015 film “The Program,” which lacked Armstrong’s collaboration.
