Bus with 26 passengers slides off road near Aoraki/Mount Cook

A bus carrying 26 passengers slid off State Highway 8 on its way to Aoraki/Mount Cook Village in heavy snow, but no injuries were reported. The bus was unable to be towed, and alternative transport was arranged for the passengers. The incident, where the bus was driven onto a closed road in snowy conditions, is under investigation by WorkSafe and the Commercial Vehicle Safety Team.
