Bus Accident in Alagoas, Brazil, Claims 16 Lives

A bus carrying about 60 people from a religious festival in northeast Brazil overturned in Alagoas state, resulting in at least 16 fatalities, including four children. The accident, described as “highly complex,” involved passengers being ejected or trapped under the wreckage. Survivors, including a seriously injured child, were taken to hospitals for treatment. In response, Governor Paulo Dantas declared three days of mourning for the victims.
