Building a Tech Industry in Syria From Scratch

A recent tech conference in Damascus was attended by around 700 people, mainly Syrian and Syrian-American, highlighting the country’s isolated tech industry due to the war and sanctions. Despite the challenges, efforts are underway to revitalize the industry and improve basic services such as electricity, showcasing both the potential and obstacles facing Syria’s tech sector.
