A British passenger, 23-year-old Browne-Frater Chyna Jada, was arrested at Accra’s Kotoka International Airport while attempting to smuggle 18kg of cannabis on a British Airways flight to London Gatwick. Authorities discovered 32 slabs of the drug in her luggage, valued at approximately $232,960 (£172,000). On the same day, another British national, Owusu Williams Christian, was detained after arriving from Dubai with 53.6kg of cannabis in his bags, as part of ongoing efforts by the Ghanaian Narcotics Control Commission to combat drug trafficking.
