A British climber, Kenton Cool, has set a new record by summiting Mount Everest for the 19th time, the most by any non-Sherpa, reaching the peak at 29,032 feet. Cool, who first climbed Everest in 2004 and has scaled a total of 551,000 feet, overcame significant personal challenges, including a severe foot injury that once left him unable to walk unaided. He achieved this latest ascent via the Southeast Ridge route, and after reaching Camp 2 on his descent, he is expected to arrive at Base Camp tomorrow.
