British man killed in Ghana during phone theft attempt

Police in Tema, Ghana, are urgently searching for gunmen who shot and killed 68-year-old Briton Ashraf Qarmar Parvez during a phone robbery at a bar. The incident occurred when six men attempted to steal his phone, and he was shot while trying to recover it. Witnesses are being interviewed as a 9mm shell was found at the scene, and the police have increased operations against armed robbery. The British Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office is assisting the victim’s family.
