The Brick by Brick campaign, a collaboration between The Independent and Refuge, has exceeded expectations by raising a total of £576,984 to build two safe houses for domestic abuse survivors. The campaign, supported by high-profile figures like Sir Keir Starmer and Dame Helen Mirren, will provide secure accommodation with advanced security features and emotional support services for women and children fleeing abusive situations. These houses, the first of their kind built by Persimmon, will offer a safe haven and comprehensive resources to help survivors rebuild their lives.
