Fugitive ex-spy chief from Brazil released after ICE detention in the US

Former Brazilian intelligence chief Alexandre Ramagem has been released from immigration detention in the U.S. after fleeing Brazil following his conviction for a coup plot supporting ex-President Jair Bolsonaro. Ramagem was detained by ICE in Florida for a minor traffic infraction before being released; he has a pending asylum application. The Brazilian government is seeking his extradition to serve a 16-year prison sentence.
