A 13-year-old boy, Alix Law, was denied boarding by Qatar Airways for a family trip to Thailand due to a minor ‘luggage sticker mark’ on his passport. Despite having traveled with the same passport multiple times without issue, airline staff deemed it damaged and advised obtaining an emergency travel document in Glasgow. After challenging the decision, the family was rebooked on an Emirates flight via Dubai. Alix’s mother, Meghan, is seeking compensation from Qatar Airways, citing a lack of compassion during the ordeal.
