Essendon star Nic Martin Faces Second Knee Reconstruction
Essendon player Nic Martin is undergoing scans and may require a second knee reconstruction within a year after injuring his knee during pre-season training, just months after an ACL rupture in July. The 24-year-old will consult with a surgeon this week to determine the next steps. Essendon confirmed the incident, stating that Martin slipped at training and is awaiting further updates. He had an impressive performance last season, finishing second in the club’s best-and-fairest and has played 83 games since joining the team in 2022.
