The new governance structure for Gaza features a complex four-layer plan, led by a Board of Peace chaired by Donald Trump, including prominent leaders like Turkey’s Erdogan and Italy’s Meloni. Below this, an executive board consisting of mainly American figures, like Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff, will operationalize the Board’s vision, while a separate oversight committee will scrutinize developments on the ground, including diverse international representatives. Nickolay Mladenov will serve as the High Representative for Gaza, liaising between the Board and local Palestinian technocrats. Major General Jasper Jeffers has been appointed to lead the international stabilization force, tasked with addressing significant challenges such as disarming Hamas and rebuilding Gaza.
