BMW invited Ars to test drive the iX3, its first electric model on the new “Neue Klasse” platform, and preview the upcoming electric M division vehicles. The i3 sedan, a fully electric version of the 3 Series, is set to launch this year, followed by the performance-focused EV, potentially named iM3, next year. BMW M’s managing director, Franciscus van Meel, emphasized the aim to redefine high-performance driving with advanced electric technology. The brand seeks to enhance the driving experience while maintaining racetrack-ready dynamics for everyday use.
