BMTC to add 148 electric buses as Tata Motors secures new contract in Bengaluru

Tata Motors secured a new order from Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) for 148 additional electric buses under the GCC model, expanding its fleet. These 12-metre low-floor Tata Starbus electric buses will be supplied, operated, and maintained by TML Smart City Mobility Solutions Limited over a 12-year period. This order follows a previous one for 921 electric buses, with most already operational and exceeding 95% uptime, showcasing BMTC’s commitment to sustainable public transportation.
