B+LNZ appoints new CEO

Beef + Lamb New Zealand (B+LNZ) has appointed Alan Thomson as its new chief executive, joining from Hitachi Australia where he was Director of Agribusiness. With a background in agritech and a lifelong career in agriculture, Thomson, a New Zealand native, will relocate to Wellington for the role starting on November 4. B+LNZ board chair Kate Acland is pleased with the appointment, emphasizing the board’s commitment to finding a leader with strong agricultural expertise.
