A black hole 300 million times bigger than the sun may be a portal to universe’s first days, scientists say

Researchers have confirmed the existence of an ancient black hole using spectroscopy, identifying extremely fast-moving gas around it, indicative of a black hole’s presence. The black hole is located in a galaxy known as CAPERS-LRD-z9, part of the “Little Red Dots” class, which may provide insights into early universe conditions and the formation of such massive black holes.
