Residents in Birmingham, particularly in the deprived area of Ladywood, express frustration over uncollected rubbish during ongoing bin strikes, feeling neglected compared to affluent neighborhoods like Edgbaston, which remain largely unaffected. Locals report issues such as embarrassment over overflowing bins and an increase in pests, while those in wealthier areas benefit from better waste management. Waste disposal experts note disparities in service due to financial constraints and access to alternative disposal options, highlighting the inequities faced by lower-income communities.
