Biden Administration Adds 37 Chinese Companies to Forced Labor List

The Biden administration announced it would block imports from over three dozen Chinese companies with alleged ties to forced labor in Xinjiang, under the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act. This action, the largest batch of additions to the list of barred companies, aims to prevent products made in Xinjiang from entering the US due to human rights concerns. Entities like Zijin Mining and Huafu Fashion were among those added, expanding the list to 144 as part of the administration’s efforts to combat forced labor and uphold human rights in trade relations with China.
