California officials are pressuring Beverly Hills to expedite the approval process for a new hotel and apartment complex near Wilshire Boulevard. The development, proposed by local developer Leo Pustilnikov, is a 19-story mixed-use building aimed at addressing the state’s housing shortage. State housing laws are being used to push cities like Beverly Hills to increase housing options, regardless of local opposition.
