Jackie Miller has made her triumphant return.
The beauty influencer expanded her brand last year to include updates on her pregnancy. However, just before her scheduled delivery, she suffered an aneurysm and was placed in a medically induced coma.
Her last post before the incident was a glamorous pregnancy carousel on May 18, 2023.
Jackie underwent five brain surgeries over a few weeks and was unconscious during the emergency C-section for the birth of her child.
After a challenging journey, Jackie has finally returned. In her first Instagram post in almost a year on Tuesday, she shared her story, stating:
“What a year it’s been for me and my family. Last May, I had a 50/50 chance of surviving the night… and now here I am, writing to you. A week before our first child was due, my husband found me collapsed in our living room. I had suffered a brain aneurysm rupture. After a month in the ICU in Orange County, we traveled to different hospitals for continued therapies to help me relearn how to live.”
Although she woke up in July, there was still a challenging recovery ahead before she could return to being on camera. She explained:
“I still struggle with aphasia affecting my speech and have limited use of my right arm and leg. But I am more determined than ever to keep working on myself. I look forward to sharing more about my journey in hopes of helping others going through trauma. There is hope!”
She also introduced her baby daughter in the post:
“Despite the tough moments during recovery, having my 10-month-old daughter Knoxly by my side has been my motivation.”
Expressing gratitude, she concluded:
“Throughout this journey, Austin has been my rock. Friends and family have also shown incredible support from the start. Thank you, mom! The road to reclaiming my life continues, but I am thankful for this community and the chance to share my story with you. I hope to offer empathy, bring hope, and raise awareness about the risks women face during pregnancy. More updates to come, but for now, thank you from the bottom of my heart!”
In addition, she shared a video message directly to her followers:
“Hi, it’s me. Thank you for all your love and support. We have been in hospitals from California to Colorado, Nebraska, and Kansas. It’s been a tough year, but after 10 months of recovery, we are finally ready to go home.”
She hasn’t even been home yet? What an update! But this is just the beginning. She assured her fans:
“There is more work to be done, but with the support of friends, family, and this community, we are ready to start living again. I will be sharing my recovery journey, but thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
