A heartbroken family is mourning the loss of 39-year-old Claire Laybourne, who died following a suspected hit-and-run on the A19 in Holystone, North Tyneside. The collision occurred on December 5 when her Volkswagen T-roc collided with a Skoda Fabia, whose driver fled the scene. Despite emergency treatment, Laybourne succumbed to her injuries the next day. Police are investigating the incident and have urged witnesses to come forward, while three men have been arrested and released on bail.
