Fire in Hong Kong housing estate kills 13

A massive fire at the Wang Fuk Court residential estate in Hong Kong has resulted in at least 36 fatalities, with over 200 individuals still unaccounted for, marking the city’s worst blaze in decades. The fire began on Wednesday afternoon, spreading rapidly through bamboo scaffolding on the estate, which comprises nearly 2,000 flats. City leader John Lee confirmed that 29 people have been hospitalized, with seven in critical condition. The incident has shocked the densely populated financial hub.
