A father and son were rescued in the Florida Everglades after becoming stranded in a mudhole when their ATV ran out of gas. They called 911 for help as night approached, concerned about wildlife and their lack of shoes. Deputies located them thanks to a fire they had lit for warmth, and a helicopter hoisted them to safety. No injuries were reported, and the sheriff’s office praised the successful rescue effort.
