At Paris Fashion Week, Doja Cat attended Balmain’s fall show after wearing a custom gown by the designer to the Oscars. Olivier Rousteing showcased a new kind of luxury with sculptural knitwear, fluid draping, and blown-up zebra motifs, while still incorporating Balmain’s signature statement hardware and animalistic energy. The collection featured draped mohair, wool jersey dresses, and oversized coats paired with sculptural twisted pumps and slouchy boots, showcasing a recalibration of the brand’s DNA towards a more relaxed and easeful aesthetic.
