Ballyfin, Carton House and Lignum win Michelin stars

All current holders of Michelin stars in Ireland retained their stars, with three new Irish restaurants – Ballyfin Demesne, The Morrison Room at Carton House, and Lignum – receiving one Michelin star for the first time. The Michelin sommelier award for the UK and Ireland went to Daróg wine bar in Galway city, which also received a Bib Gourmand award. The awards were announced at the Britain & Ireland Michelin Guide ceremony in Glasgow, with Ballyfin’s executive chef Richard Picard-Edwards expressing his thrill at winning a star and The Morrison Room praised for its luxury dining experience at Carton House.
