BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 18. The State Commission for Prisoners of War, Hostages, and Missing Persons of Prosecutor General’s Zaur Ismayilov stated during a briefing on the mass grave found in Khojaly that the burial time of the identified individuals will be decided after consulting with their family members. The funeral will be organized by local executive authorities.
He mentioned that the remains of the individuals will be handed over to their families and buried according to religious and national traditions.
At present, 18 remains have been discovered in the mass grave in Khojaly, with the identities of nine individuals already established through forensic genetic examination. These individuals disappeared on February 26, 1992, in the Khojaly district, as per the investigation materials.
