Aviation Safety Body’s Chief Assures Passengers Amid Surge In Hoax Bomb Threats

Amid a surge in hoax bomb threats targeting Indian airlines, officials from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) met with airline representatives to address concerns about disruptions and security challenges during the festive season. BCAS Director General Zulfiqar Hasan reassured airlines of the solid safety protocols in place and encouraged passengers to fly without fear. Nearly 70 flights have been affected by these hoax bomb threats, leading to delays, inconvenience, and financial losses, with the government actively investigating and considering increased security measures.
