New Kyoshi Warriors Comic Series in Development by Avatar Creators

Dark Horse Comics is set to release a new three-issue miniseries titled Avatar: The Last Airbender — Kyoshi Warriors, developed with original creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. The story follows Suki and her Kyoshi Warriors as they venture from Kyoshi Island to confront the Fire Nation, facing skepticism from mainlanders. Written by Brandon Hoáng and illustrated by BellBessa and Xanthe Bouma, the first issue launches on May 6, available for preorder at $4.99. This miniseries aims to deepen the Avatar universe while exploring themes of honor and identity.
