Jordan Mailata, an Australian offensive tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles, is set to make history as the first Australian to play in two Super Bowls after the Eagles secured a spot in the NFL showcase game. The 27-year-old, who signed a lucrative contract extension last April, will face either the Buffalo Bills or the Kansas City Chiefs in the championship game on February 9. Despite playing in a Super Bowl two years ago, Mailata will aim to help the Eagles secure a victory and end the Chiefs’ streak of three consecutive Super Bowl wins.
