Starting Monday, Australian children will be eligible for three days of subsidised early education and childcare weekly under the Albanese government’s “3 Day Guarantee,” which replaces the previous Activity Test. This initiative aims to provide subsidised access to an additional 100,000 families, regardless of parents’ employment status. The government is committing $430 million over four years and an additional $1 billion to enhance early learning services, responding to recent challenges in childcare safety. Education Minister Jason Clare emphasized that every child deserves access to quality early education, independent of their family’s circumstances.
