On Australia Day, hundreds gathered at Shelley Beach for the City of Canning’s Family Fun Day, featuring activities for all ages, including a popular puppy parade. Participants, like the Lawson family, showcased their dogs in festive attire, while Auspire ambassador Pedus Eweama emphasized the day’s significance in reflecting on Australia’s identity and history. Despite cloudy weather, the puppy parade attracted 25 dogs, with a Pyrenees Mountain dog named Storm winning the grand prize. At Matilda Bay, families enjoyed various water activities, creating a vibrant community atmosphere.
