Austin signs Albania's Uzuni in club-record deal

Austin FC has acquired Albania forward Myrto Uzuni for a club-record transfer fee of $12.3 million from Granada CF in Spain’s second division. Uzuni, 29, joins as a designated player on a three-year contract with an option for 2028, expressing his ambition to succeed and break records with the team. With 49 goals in 106 matches for Granada, Uzuni’s prolific scoring ability and versatility are seen as key assets by Austin FC’s sporting director Rodolfo Borrell.
