Neil Quigley resigns as Reserve Bank chairman ‘with immediate effect’

Reserve Bank board chairman Neil Quigley has resigned immediately following the chaotic handling of Adrian Orr’s resignation as Governor. Finance Minister Nicola Willis announced the resignation after the Reserve Bank was compelled by the Ombudsman to disclose that Orr’s departure involved more complexities than initially communicated.
