At least 9 killed in protest at US consulate in Karachi

At least nine people were killed in Karachi, Pakistan, during protests sparked by the assassination of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a joint US-Israeli strike. Security forces opened fire on pro-Iranian demonstrators attempting to storm the US consulate. Protests also erupted in other cities, including Lahore, where crowds gathered outside the consulate, and Skardu, where a UN office was set ablaze. Similar demonstrations occurred globally, including in Iraq and Kashmir.
