The Houston Astros secured a 2-1 victory over the Seattle Mariners, benefiting from two first-inning errors that allowed Christian Walker and Victor Caratini to score. Framber Valdez earned his third consecutive win, allowing only one run and tying his season high with four walks over six innings. Despite Seattle’s Randy Arozarena cutting the lead to 2-1 with a run scored in the second, the Mariners struggled with runners in scoring position, going 0 for 6, and Houston’s Jose Altuve set a franchise milestone by playing in his 1,871st game.
