Pre-eclampsia affects about 1 in 25 pregnancies in the U.S., with increased risk factors including race and health conditions. Despite existing recommendations, many eligible women are not receiving this preventive treatment, prompting hospitals to streamline the process by recommending it for all pregnant patients.
