Ashburton’s new library turns one

Jill Watson, a long-time employee at Ashburton Library, has experienced the best year of her career with the opening of the new Te Kete Tuhinga building, which has seen a significant increase in visitor numbers and borrowing rates. The new library boasts impressive features such as a computer learning lab, recording studio, meeting rooms, makerspace room, and a café, creating a vibrant and buzzing atmosphere. Watson looks forward to expanding library activities and programs in the coming year, while also expressing her fondness for the inner courtyard with a garden and children’s playground.
