Ashburton cycle trail vision gears up

The Ashburton District Council is moving forward with plans to develop a cycle trail, inviting track builders to submit quotes for a circular trail report expected by June. Consultants Xyst are preparing the report, covering trail options, commercial opportunities, and recommended routes. The council will create a community group to oversee the masterplan, with no long-term funding allocated beyond the options report.
