The US Treasury Department has intensified its efforts against Iranian-backed militias in Iraq, designating seven militia commanders as terrorists for their involvement in attacks on US personnel and interests. US Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent emphasized that the US will hold accountable those who support these militias.
