Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian assured Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev that Tehran is not responsible for recent drone incursions into Azerbaijan and committed to investigating the matter. This follows an incident where four Iranian drones crossed into Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan exclave, injuring four people. Aliyev condemned the drone strike as a “terrorist act” and warned of potential repercussions. Concurrently, Azerbaijani authorities disrupted an Iranian plot targeting the Israeli embassy and other Jewish sites in Baku.
