Danny Danon supports Riad Mansour’s withdrawal from UNGA presidency

Riyad Mansour, the UN Minister and Permanent Observer for Palestine, has officially withdrawn his candidacy for the presidency of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly. Palestine currently holds the status of a non-member state and Permanent Observer at the UN. Mansour, who has represented the Palestinian Authority for two decades, did not provide a reason for his withdrawal. Israeli Ambassador Danny Danon criticized Mansour’s bid, suggesting it aimed to politicize the UN against Israel.
