US sanctions target Iran’s shadow fleet

The US Treasury Department has sanctioned over 30 individuals, entities, and “shadow fleet” vessels linked to Iran’s petroleum sales and weapons production. These measures target networks supporting Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and its Ministry of Defense, facilitating access to materials for ballistic missile development. The sanctions include 12 vessels involved in transporting Iranian oil, which collectively represent significant financial value. Iran has yet to respond to these sanctions.
