US steps back from support of SDF
Rebwar Hazhar, chairman of Conservative Friends of Kurdistan, criticized the West, particularly the U.S., for abandoning the Kurdish people, warning of dire consequences in Syria if the conflict remains unresolved. Despite some sympathy from the UK and positive Israeli responses, Hazhar highlighted the lack of concrete support on the ground for the Kurdish forces. He expressed concern over the U.S. shifting alliances towards the Sharaa regime, which threatens Kurdish autonomy and stability in the region. Hazhar remains hopeful in the strength of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to defend their territory despite a dire humanitarian situation in areas like Kobani.
