Israel’s Decision to Join Trump’s Board of Peace

Israel deemed participation in US President Trump’s Board of Peace (BoP) essential, as explained by an Israeli official who emphasized the need for involvement in decision-making. Prime Minister Netanyahu’s choice to join followed deliberations on risks associated with other member nations like Turkey and Qatar. The BoP aims to address Gaza’s reconstruction and disarm Hamas, amid skepticism from European nations about undermining the UN. Trump indicated military action against Hamas if disarmament is not achieved, while Israel remains concerned about true compliance.
