Europe Criticizes US-Led Gaza Base, Considers Withdrawal

Several European countries are reconsidering their participation in the US-led Civil-Military Coordination Center (CMCC) for Gaza, citing its lack of effectiveness in increasing aid and facilitating political change. Established under Trump’s plan, the CMCC aimed to monitor the Israel-Hamas ceasefire and aid entry, but diplomats have criticized it as “directionless.” Concerns have also risen about the stalled humanitarian aid and Israel’s control over Gaza’s aid policy. As a result, some nations are contemplating withdrawing personnel from the center.
